Gentle Resets for Everyday Life

As a Body & Brain Outreach and Community Service Instructor,
I teach simple, accessible qigong and mindful movement for all ages, helping build strength, balance, and calm for real life (no contortions, tricky yoga pretzels or perfection required).
As a Life Transitions Coach, I partner with go-getters stepping into new phases of life, exploring self-healing practices like movement, energy cultivation, intuitive nutrition, meaningful connections, and building a work-life flow that actually feels aligned with their true self (no magic wands, just real shifts that stick).

Qigong/Tai Chi Classes

Qigong (chee-gong or key-gong) is a vital energy cultivation practice that blends active and dynamic movements, vibration, visualization, and meditation to help you ease stress, improve balance, and mobility, soften stiffness, and gently restore your natural energy. There are different styles of Tai Chi (TIE-chee) movements; they all consist of slow, controlled motions and promote serenity through gentle and flowing movements.

A BIT ABOUT ME

👋🏽 For years, I worked as a career and life coach, helping people navigate transitions, goals, and big decisions through conversation alone. Over and over again, I saw that insight wasn’t the issue—my clients were smart, self-aware, and in most cases, doing the right things. The real shift happened when we brought their body, brain, and subtle energy into the process, instead of staying in the head. This is exactly why my work now leads with qigong and holistic health. In our sessions, we start by regulating your nervous system and reconnecting you with your own body through simple, accessible practices: breath, gentle movement, grounding, and energy-focused qigong. From there, we work with your patterns—stress, people-pleasing, self-doubt, overthinking—and translate your internal shifts into practical changes in your work life, health, and relationships. My approach is grounded and deeply spiritual. I honor your ambition and responsibilities, while also honoring the part of you that wants authenticity, purpose, and a sense of balance and peace.Let’s create space for your body to heal, your energy to rebalance, and your next steps to emerge from a place of clarity and confidence instead of anxiety and overwhelm.🛑 THOSE ARE THE BASICS, SCROLL ON FOR THE JOURNEYSummers on my grandparents’ Alabama farm, our family garden in Ohio, and my dad’s work as a truck driver delivering produce taught me early on what real food is and where it comes from, which shaped my lifelong love of nutritious food and the natural world. My journey into holistic health began in my mid-20s after an S-curve scoliosis diagnosis and a warning I might not walk by 60, which pushed me to try chiropractic care despite skepticism. Today, I’m strong, mobile, and upright, with my chiropractor still on my wellness team, and I’ve moved forward with a renewed commitment to holistic health and never looked back.In my 30s, a uterine fibroid diagnosis threw my life into a tailspin, but it also sparked a determination to find natural solutions to avoid surgery. Although I ultimately needed a partial hysterectomy, my doctor credited my quick recovery, without blood transfusion or medication, to these proactive approaches. These experiences, along with alternative approaches like acupuncture, reiki, reflexology, energy healing, guided imagery and more, reinforced my belief in the power of holistic health practices.Despite my history of navigating health issues through changes in diet and alternative approaches, a more recent and persistent sinus infection that resulted in some serious head sensitivity and pain became a turning point. Doctors left me frustrated, scared, and feeling unheard as they focused on alleviating symptoms with antibiotics and steroids, which led to heart palpitations, anxiety attacks and another round of medical input, but no real answers. The one thing that did catch my attention while working with an integrated medicine provider, was that my chi / qi / ki / prana was low, which totally made sense after months of uncertainty, anxiety, and poor sleep. A quick search suggested Tai Chi as a way to increase it, and I found a Body and Brain Yoga and Tai Chi center just minutes from my home. I signed up, dived in, and just a few months later I had a newfound relationship with my body and a new mindset. I’m grateful beyond words that I found this loving and supportive community. This experience forced a necessary awakening. I realized I had been neglecting my mind/body/spirit connection. My meditation practice had dwindled, replaced by worry and anxiety. And, I was relying solely on doctors, ignoring my body’s wisdom. It was time to reconnect. I stopped relying on external solutions and took responsibility for my own well-being. I voraciously read books about holistic health and related topics, started working with a health coach, recommitted myself to meditation, delved back into emotional regulation techniques, and moved my sleep time from midnight to 10pm.I also completed a holistic health coaching certification and a Qigong Instructor certification, creating the perfect blend of my life and career coaching experience with a deeper, holistic perspective to help others achieve lasting well-being in a more complete way.The wisdom gained from my childhood experiences, my personal health challenges, and my ongoing journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance have reminded me that real health is a harmonious balance of mind, body and spirit. It’s not just about eating right and following an exercise regimen; it’s about nurturing all aspects of our being. My belief in the power of self-healing; natural, wholesome nutrition; mindful and intentional movement; strong social connections in community; and the crucial role of mental and spiritual well-being is unshakable, and my curiosity to continue learning in this space is insatiable. It’s SO easy in our fast-paced world to lose touch with our bodies, our true selves. We have to return to wholeness!Let’s explore what’s 'YOUR right path’ (bio-individuality), and embrace the wisdom of nature, the power of an optimistic mindset, the joy of movement, the benefits of the right kind of connections, and a purpose where you contribute and show up as your true self experiencing a well-lived and vibrant life.
